TV Schedulers possibly stupid
I do wonder at the logic of TV scheduling gurus at channel 7 when i noticed the return of Heroes in series 3 at 10.30pm on a Thursday Night. It sounds like it will be too late for most of what i would think is its audience as i would think a big chunk of its demographic would have been sent to bed on a school night.
Then again, I lost interest part way through series 2 and would now have no idea what is going on. Perhaps it could be a wise decision afterall!
New Amsterdam
I am watching the thitd episode of New Amsterdam and i have come to the conclusion that the creators might have been a fan of Highlander judging by the storyline. The lead character is immortal and can’t die until something happens only instead of being the only immortal left only after cutting off the others head, this time he has to find the woman that is “the one” where he can then grow old and die. It has flashbacks to earlier parts of his life as a soldier and the like.
Other than that it seems to be just another cop program. Must not get too attached to it, it got canned after 10 episodes.
Oh yeah and the woman he wants, she is it seems married.
Well i didn’t see that happening
Spoiler Warning - If you watch House MD this post contains spoilers. This post may also cause your bread to go moldy and girls not to like you.
I have just watched the latest episode of House MD and talk about a plot development coming out of left field that i didn’t see coming. One of House’s assistants, Kutner is missing at the start of the episode and House queries where he is. Only later does he send Foreman and Thirteen to Kutners home where they make the discovery that Kutner has committed suicide with a shot to the head from his own pistol. The team reacts differently and time is spent as each remaining member of the team deals with the loss. Naturally their patients that they are treating parallel the situation.
The departure of the character comes with an interesting back story I discovered as the actor who played Kutner quit to go work for President Obama at the White House as an associate director at the Office of Public Liaison whose responsibilities include helping the Administration connect with Asian and Pacific Islanders as well as Arts and Entertainment Groups.
Quite a change, I bet the drop in salary would hurt the hip pocket!
